FT ISLAND Rock!!!

I'm a fan of jpop for about 4-5 years now and i've never into kpop until last year, i watched You're Beautiful, i straight away fell in love with Jeremy which played by Lee Hongki from FT Island. I don't know why suddenly i want to watch You're Beautiful whereas the last time i watch K-drama was about 3 years ago i think. I don't know but maybe that's fate between me and FT Island <33

Band group was so unusual or rare at Korea. There's a bunch of boy/girl dance group but only a few bands that i know of. If you want different feel, different concept, everything different from usual kpop group, you should check on FT. They have a bunch of great songs both Korean and Japanese songs. If you want sad rock ballad kind of thing, you should check their Korean songs. If you want more up beat, punk rock-ish song, you should try to hear their Japanese songs.

Here's my recommendation for their Korean songs:

1. Don't Love (Hongki even cried when he sang this song at one of their live perf back in 2007/08 i believe)

2. Love Love Love (the first song that i heard and still love it)

3. I Hope (it's their single in 2009 before Hongki acts in You're Beautiful)

Other songs: After Love, Bing Bing Bing, Lovesick, Marry Me, Bad Woman, Missing U, First Kiss (both Korean and English version-Always Be Mine), Girls Don't Know, The Cool vs The Pretty, Hello Hello, I Confess, Thunder, Primadonna, FT.IS.LAND, etc...

Recommendation for their Japanese songs:

1. Flower Rock (their debut song in Japan)

2. Wing (not single so there's no PV but i love this song)

 

3. Let It Go (Their latest single before Distance, music compose by Jonghun, written by Hongki and Minhwan)

Other songs: The One (100% in english but included in their Japanese single), Raining, Brand New Days, Boom Boom Boom, TV Radio, Friendship, Soyogi, I Believe, So Today, Satisfaction, Live Like a Musical, Treasure, Haruka, Mirai Jitensha, etc...

They have a lot of songs since they debut 4 years ago on 2007, so it will take forever if i want to list down all their great songs XD

But i think the main reason why i love them is because of Hongki's voice. Personally i think that he has a great, husky and amazing voice that i've ever heard! Seriously! Watch this if you don't believe me:

Isn't that amazing? Besides, he's totally nervous since he has to sing that song in front of the original singer yet still pull off an amazing performance. Even Yim Jae-bum, the original singer praise his performance♥

Anyway, a band would not complete without it's musician; guitarist, bassist and drummer.

Former member:
Oh Wonbin - left the group in 2009 to pursue his own music. He's currently active as a solo singer under the same label as FT Island and he still remain good friends with them.

Anyway, they're still young and even younger than me, they're still learning but there has been more and more songs that was composed and written by themselves especially for their Japanese songs for example all songs in Let it Go single was written and composed by all FT Island members. I'm so glad they're given more chances to prove their talent <33 Please check them out if you haven't as i believe they will fly even higher in future!!
